WIN Learning Announces Release of New Digital Literacy Basics Course Offering

Kingston, Tennessee – September 21, 2021WIN Learning, a national leading developer of career readiness solutions, announced today the release of a new work ready courseware offering, Digital Literacy Basics. Digital Literacy Basics is a self-paced online course designed to provide learners and jobseekers with the basic skills needed to successfully navigate technology in the workplace.

“WIN is continually working to meet the needs of learners and jobseekers by providing courseware to prepare them for career success,” said Teresa Chasteen, CEO of WIN Learning. “We are thrilled to offer this new courseware to equip learners with the technological skills they need to succeed in any occupation.”

Technology is a vital part of nearly every industry in the modern workplace and its use continues to increase each year. As a result, knowledge and mastery of these digital devices and tools is necessary for most occupations. Digital Literacy Basics teaches jobseekers how to identify and master the most common digital tools used in the workplace. The course is comprised of five modules: Computer Basics, Internet Basics, Digital Communication Basics, Digital Documents Basics, and Digital Security Basics. Developing these basic technological skills prepares learners and jobseekers for success no matter their industry or occupation.

Each of the five modules includes a course component with instructional content, a knowledge-check quiz, and practice exercises that allow learners to apply the skills to real life workplace situations. Learners and jobseekers learn about the basic devices and tools used in the workplace as well as guidelines for professional use of those tools. To complete each module, learners take a posttest to recap what they've learned and measure mastery of the content. When learners have passed the posttests for each module, they earn a Certificate of Completion which can be printed and added to their resume or portfolio.
