Indiana Department of Workforce Development Implements WIN Learning’s Digital Literacy Courseware
Kingston, Tennessee – 5/19/2022 – WIN Learning, a national leading developer of career readiness solutions, announced today that its statewide partnership with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development now includes Digital Literacy Basics courseware.
WIN Learning is excited to partner with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development to provide jobseekers with the technological skills needed in the workplace. Digital Literacy Basics courseware is backed by research from the US Department of Labor’s O*NET Job Zones, which identify the skills required for more than 900 occupations. The use of digital tools in the workplace continues to increase across all industries, making basic digital literacy crucial for jobseekers to get and keep a job. Digital Literacy Basics teaches jobseekers how to identify and master the most common digital tools used in the workplace.
“Digital Literacy Basics is a valuable addition to our career readiness programs that will equip our learners and jobseekers with the skills and knowledge they need to compete in today’s job market,” said Martha Finch Anderson, Indiana DWD Program Director. “Earning a Certificate of Completion and a credential in Digital Literacy shows employers that jobseekers have mastered the use of basic workplace technologies and are prepared for success.”
The state of Indiana is adding the Digital Literacy Courseware to their current suite of WIN education solutions to provide learners and jobseekers across the state with access to the courseware. Since implementation, more than 200 people have utilized the Digital Literacy Basics courseware to improve their workplace technology skills.
