Shots for Tots — Activity
Three Cities
As a medical officer of the CDC, you have been asked to set up new vaccination clinics to serve families at or below the poverty level in one of three cities. The Vaccines for Children program will provide vaccines for all children whose families have incomes at or below the federal poverty level. Since the CDC recommends that all children be vaccinated, you will plan for all eligible children to come to the clinics.
Use the Proposal Planning Packet to determine the number of children who might use the clinics, the amount of vaccine they will need for doses of all eight vaccines, and the costs for those doses. This information will be needed to answer the questions for your final project.
