Ready to Work Courseware is a self-paced course in which you will develop the foundational workplace skills required for most jobs from entry level to professional. It is made up of three modules: Applied Mathematics, Locating Information, and Reading for Information. Each module contains a placement test and six or seven course levels, each with a pretest, instructional content, practice exercises, and posttest.

Career-focused knowledge and employability skills help learners succeed.

Ready to Work Courseware provides learners with a placement test to identify current readiness levels in each of the modules, and to identify further training and education along their career path. Based on placement test performance, an individual enters the learning module at a level appropriate for their skills and then progresses at their own pace. Learners show mastery of content by passing post-tests at the end of each module, earning eBadges, and eventually the certificates of completion.    The tests in the Ready to Work Courseware provide learners with a personalized profile of how prepared they are for a career path, and helps clarify their needs for further training and education. These tests also assure precise skills-based placement into further work on foundational skills. This allows learners to practice and engage in the work they have not yet mastered.
